The Bahrain Information Technology Society (BITS) in coordination with Mr. Ramesh Achieve conduct a presentation on Six Sigma on Wednesday 26th April.

BITS invited all its members to see the use and benefit of Six Sigma

Six Sigma is a business process to drastically improve performance of an organization or a business unit therein while increasing customer satisfaction. Six Sigma achieves the above objective by fine tuning or re-engineering, business processes of the organization and thereby minimizing/eliminating waste and the resources used for generating such waste.

Over the last 4-5 years Six Sigma is being applied to Software and IT. Measurements and methodology, for application of Six Sigma in Software and IT, is significantly different. However the Six Sigma initiative in Software and IT has been very successful. Currently several international organizations, like IBM, ORACLE, SAP, XEROX (software division), Intel, and many more, are implementing Six Sigma in their software operations.
